Tis the season to get bakin'
Bread makes itself, by your kindness, with your help, with imagination running through you, with dough under hand, you are breadmaking itself, which is why breadmaking is so fulfilling and rewarding. (Edward Espe Brown, The Tassajara Bread Book, 1970)

Autumn leaves
Last night I went to girls' nite at Becky's which was lovely and cozy. We sat around the wood stove and had some wine and treats, and chatted. Great group of gals, for sure. I took lots of photos of Sumo and Sheba, Becky and Aaron's sweet Shar-Peis.
Finally got my guys out with the new CanaDog gear. We went to the East Bay Trails this afternoon. They did great; not one minded the new harnesses, and they didn't trip me up (or each other) too badly. The gear is really good quality, I'm super pleased with it so far. I think it was worth the initial investment. I doubled up Sola's gangline, and the three of them meandered along pretty well together. I think I will use the neck ties, which would prevent any tangling of the lines. Why can't I get them to pull when I want them to? Oh, the irony. Most of the views on my hikes consist of my dogs' butts.
