Hugest dork

Merrideth told me I had to try on my wedding dress, in case something happened to it. Like a fire or flood or swarm of locusts.

So I did.

She still fits, b'ye! Right on!

What was I SUPPOSED to do during this rainy crap- a photobooth trainwreck seemed ideal.

Oh, and I bought a serger. I'm all stoked and inspired from the photoshoot business with Erin that I decided to throw myself into sewing again. It's about time. Thanks for the kick in the butt friend, even if you didn't mean to give me one.

Shed n' veg

I know huskies blow their coats in the Spring/Summer, but this is madness. Geoff and I tried our hand at grooming Luna outside with the shedding blade to avoid the 3x day sweeping in the kitchen and hall, jeez.

The gardens are doing pretty well!  Some of my flowers...

And the veg!

Not looking too shabby. I brought some of the oak leaf lettuce and kale to Erin. She took my photos today- I'm anxious to see the results... Thought we were going to get arrested by a security guard at one point but turns out... nope.

Doggie disaster.

Second major doggie disaster in one week. The first involved a mess I can't describe in polite company.

This second mess resulted after a teenage dog rebellion: Geoff made an "executive decision" that the dogs should not be allowed upstairs (second floor, with bedrooms) anymore, due to his allergies. They would live on the main floor mostly, and he built them a little doggie romper room in our unfinished basement (old 1950s house). He put their dog kennels down there and some nice cozy beds, thinking they would love it.

Luna didn't care. Sola showed her displeasure.

Kelly's mountain June 09

Geoff and I did a trek on Kelly's mountain this afternoon. Took about 1.5 hours in, 1.5 hours out, around 10k altogether. The terrain was pretty rocky so it make for kind of crummy hiking after a while, and it has made me realize that my hikers are pretty much ready to be tossed.
The old girls held up quite a few years but I think it's time for an upgrade.

Sola had some fun swimming in a lagoon to cool off. She's basically part otter.

Good times trying to keep the dogs out of the food supplies.

What a happy doggie. Wish they could go for big hikes every day.

What a beauty, eh?

Finally got to our destination. Well worth the wait.

Got the chance to enjoy the view and some lunch.

All I could think of towards the end of the hike was ice cream. So we stopped at the Lick-a-treat on the way home. Here is me waiting very patiently in the truck. Was a great day!

Friday, do you hear me??

So, weekend. Will be at work for the big ceremonies on Saturday. Even have a new summer suit for the occasion. But not a lame one....

I managed to set up my printer tonight. I know, should be simple. But it wasn't! There was a lot to it actually. Now to send in my rebate and get some cash dollas back.
Started to do some yoga again. Last night was a mess, honestly. I probably look like a flopping trout during my sun salutes. I have lost a lot of flexibility. But, I felt great afterwards and that seems to be the point! I don't seem to trust myself as much in inverted postures, I guess that will come back in good time...

And I have new hair, courtesy of E-train! I think it is pretty rockin if I do say so myself. Award winning stylist, she is! Hah!

There is also fire engine red in there... But obviously not visible in the b & w!
Gawd it's hard to take pictures of yourself! And I am the least photogenic person I know. Really, it's a problem.

Oh man...

What a DAY. Super busy. I am realizing that I will be on my own at the libes for the vast majority of the month. Scary. As in, I can't even get a cold or it's game over.

Waiting for G. to get home so we can take the dogs for a run. Luna's still not allowed off-leash. I don't think she ever will be... Type of dog that will bolt given the chance. Plus, she can't exactly hear us calling her. It's a problem. I guess huskies are like that anyway- they are escape artists and just want to go exploring. Just not worth the risk!

In other news, apparently it has become a-ok to cut and paste research papers, AND you don't really need to bother with those pesky statistics any more. Oh Mr. Geist, where art thou?

Tomorrow is pixie cut day. Can hardly wait........!
